My life

I was born and raised in the large port city of Hamburg in Germany and have been trying to understand the world ever since.

A multi-faceted life with a lot of travelling around Europe, working at the theatre and in broadcasting, and exploring photography have all shaped me. Leading a non-profit organisation for over 20 years has opened up other perspectives and brought new insights.

I have met many people in my life and been able to gain insight into their thinking and feeling, to share in their joy, their happiness, their worries and their troubles. I have had to face challenges, I have had to celebrate successes and I have had to accept defeats, I have seen people come and people go, but I still have not understood this world.
I would like to explore these questions in the coming years at my desk, in the studio, and on stage.
