PoetryNotes also performs live, with different programmes in various formations, always featuring original texts and music. The poems and stories from the books and audiobooks are specially adapted for the stage and combined with current texts and moderation at each performance. Thoughts on current events are incorporated into the prose texts and presentations. These prose texts and presentations are narrated freely, while I read the short stories and narratives from my recently published book ‘Hinterm Horizont’ (Beyond the Horizon). For larger stages and special occasions, we can expand the core line-up to include violin, bass, drums and wind instruments. For enquiries, please click here. A poetic search for clues and a journey into the vastness of human existence, unfathomable, funny, sometimes tragic. The individual in constant friction, between self-assertion and necessary adaptation. Author and narrator: Hans-Peter Lauenroth With book presentation Author and narrator: Hans-Peter Lauenroth Thursday, 11 December 2025, 7:30 p.m. And how she was missed! – 274,000 visitors celebrated literature at the Leipzig Book Fair and the “Leipzig Reads” reading festival. It was a big celebration. The joy was palpable everywhere at the fair and in the city: The Leipzig Book Fair is back, and with it the Manga Comic Con and the reading festival Leipzig liest. Whether at award ceremonies, stand openings, or events, the joy was everywhere expressed that after three years, the exhibition halls could be finally reopened and book lovers and literary creators could be invited to Leipzig. Publishing houses from 40 countries and 2,082 exhibitors have accepted this invitation. “What a comeback! The Leipzig Book Fair has proven why it is indispensable in the spring of books. After a painful three-year hiatus, it has once again proven to be a significant forum for the industry and a public stage for books and reading,” said Karin Schmidt-Friderichs, chair of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels: “Leipzig exudes book enthusiasm on every corner — that’s so important for introducing young people to reading.” The industry used the trade show for intensive exchange and was able to demonstrate how committed and confident it is despite economic challenges. Highly topical political debates alternated with educational workshops and a large cosplay competition, reflecting the incredible diversity of the book market, which is essential for our society and must be preserved Beyond the horizon, there is still a light.
